Is it your intention to download the We The People font for your design? Congratulations! You have come to the right place.
Based on Jacob Shallus’ original 1787 document, We The People’s font was created in inspiration of the “We the People” calligraphy found in the Preamble.
Its handwriting is reminiscent of Jacob Shallus’ original document. As a result of this handwritten style, K-Type has created a font that almost entirely reflects the spirit of the time.
The author of the Preamble seems to have followed the guidelines provided by both the German text and the Square text fairly closely. George Bickham designed these styles, and Shallus, an English legend whose penmanship copybooks were wildly popular during the 1700s, followed the penmanship copybooks he created.
