What are WordPress Themes Made out of?

WordPress themes in addition to images and javascript have three main elements. Style.css, the WordPress theme file, and function.php file. Every theme needs to have a unique style.css file. This doesn’t mean they can’t be similar, but their identification information should be different in the header. Otherwise, there will be major problems for the website.

Free WordPress Themes vs Premium Themes

WordPress offers 50000 plugins and 5000 themes totally free to its users. But alongside them, there are many premium themes that offer more and better features. The publisher is a premium theme which comes with many features. In other words, themes can control the content of your website.

Whereas, plugins control the functionality and features of your website. However, you can’t really imagine a website without any theme or plugins, only with these two you can have a complete website.

Why Choose Premium Themes

  1. Users are offered full support from theme developers and they can help fix any issues you may face.
  2. These themes are fully customizable and users can modify them based on the type of their website/business.
  3. Constant and free updates guarantee users experience.
  4. These themes usually come with a unique code, and with the code, you can send in a ticket should you ever require help.
  5. Many of these themes like Builder, act as a web designing tool. It allows you to create and design your pages.

You can’t find any disadvantages to premium themes. Because you will have to choose them based on the type of your website/business. For example, if you tend to launch an online store, you can’t use a blogging theme.

On the other hand, free themes come with their unique disadvantages. The positive point about them is the fact that you don’t need to pay any money to use them. Since they are free, you can’t expect support, complete features, and customization. In addition, there may be no updates for several months for a free theme.
